Three songs. Three videos. One band.
Wish You Were Here
(Originally recorded by Pink Floyd. Written by Roger Waters, David Gilmour)
Yes, THAT Pink Floyd song, taken from the album of the same name and released in 1975. Ironic that while it surely needs no introduction, the intro – recorded off Dave Gilmour’s car radio – is perhaps what makes the original so iconic.
The Weight
(Originally recorded by The Band. Written by Robbie Robertson)
A 1968 single by the Canadian/American group. The lyrics are about a traveler’s experiences in Nazareth, Pennsylvania, as he makes his way to the Martin Guitar factory. It’s been covered by many, so we thought it would be a good idea for us to try it, too.
(What's so funny bout) Peace, Love and Understanding?
(Originally recorded by Brinsley Schwartz. Written by Nick Lowe)
Originally released in 1974, the version by Brinsley Schwartz was released and disappeared. Then Elvis Costello and the Attractions decided to give it a go in 1978 and it got noticed. Covered by many, and it delivers a message relevant to yesterday, today and tomorrow.
Meet the band!
